Sustainability & Environmental Governance

Our company's future and the future of the planet depends on sustainability. Thankfully, a sea-change in thinking is sweeping the developed world and, thanks to consumer, corporate and political pressures the developing world is following suit.

The Spice Depot, Inc is a spice industry leader in its business practices and code of ethics regarding sustainability and environmental governance.

We built our company on sound and sustainable best business practices. At every stage along the supply and distribution chain we edit the superfluous, reduce our carbon footprint and consider the environmental, social and economic impacts our activities have at large and at home.

Our goal as a company is to grow our business in harmony with the people and environments of the communities in which we operate. To improve those environments, and in those instances where improvement is simply not possible for social or geo-political reasons, at the very least we are commited to a net-zero negative impact.

Our Best Practices Regarding Sustainability and Environmental Governance:

  • Maximize shareholder value by maintaining the company's best business practices, code of ethics and environmental considerations.

  • Establish sustaining and sustainable relationships with our grower and plantation partners around the world, built on respect for local environments, indigenous culture, fair trade practices and sustainable and organic farming.

  • Reduce our carbon footprint: trade only in renewable resources, use only all-natural or organic ingredients, reduce use of pesticides globally, use 100% recyclable packaging, utilize the most advanced technology available to reduce travel and fuel consumption and reduce the use of paper.

  • Adopt best environmental practices as they become available.

  • Advantage every opportunity to communicate our sustainability and environmental responsibility messages to our wholesale and retail clients and to our customers.
